With fresh clothes and a satisfied hunger we left the suburbs for the big city of Paris... Making a few corrections for train malfunctions we arrived near the apartment that we would be staying for the next 6 nights... With a little luck and Xuan-Thao's quebec accent we are able to use a mobile phone to locate Jean-Yves... An important item being he held the key for the apartment... Homebase is accessed, mission complete... Jean-Yves gave us a tour of the city, starting at 23h30... Unfortunately most of the lights of the city were turned off :) It was not until the next night that the 'city of lights' revealed itself to us...

I feel especially fortunate to have had an actual apartment to crawl back to at the end of a long day sight seeing... Being centrally located also helped in our ability to see the city and yet get back to the apartment for an afternoon nap... Transportation was achieved through a mix of subway and walking... Public transportation is convenient in Paris, that is as long as the drivers are not on strike...
